Cockroaches' Hall of Fame Citations.
The Cockroaches
The Cockroaches officially scurried into the Lexicomedy Universe in Episode 10 through Legsy Suroor. Since that historic invasion of the literary ecosystem, it has entrenched itself as an indispensable constituent of the Lexicomedy establishment. What began as a humble scurry has turned into a full-fledged sanctuary of Roach Scholars!
Love them, loathe them, or reach for the nearest broom, you may still find something worth taking home from the descriptions accompanying these episodes. After all, even cockroaches can occasionally leave behind food for thought!
So far, the Cockroaches have issued eight prestigious citations, each accompanied by its own carefully concocted anagram and pictorial evidence, to an assortment of the country's great cockroaches, leaders and public personalities.
Here is the distinguished roll of honour— the Hall of Fame. Click the episode numbers to know more about the curious Citations by the Cache Crooks (An appropriate Anagram of Cockroaches):
Episode 20: Citation 001 — Ajeeb Hit (Anagram.of Abhijeet) the great Roach Scholar, a post graduate from Boston at a tender age of 30. A Millennial himself but self styled leader of Gen Z. Founder of non-political Cockroach Janta Party with definite political agenda in mind.
Episode 21: Citation 002 — Saurabh Das ( Anagram: Badass Rahu.) He is another great Roach Scholar above Law, and a 'Gyanu Babu' of law despite reportedly failing repeatedly in important exams. Endorses their 'Protest with profanity' in a BBC interview. The day he comes to power, he will rewrite Constitution in scatological language.
Episode 22: Citation 003 — Ashutosh Ranka ( Anagram: 'Ashu, Shor Natak', or 'Ashus Nakhra'). The Roach Scholar from an IIT. The tag may help him to surpass other founders. Wait for the Season 2!
Episode 23: Citation 004 — Legsy Suroor (Grossly Ruey, the dubious Roach Scholar from the Ministry of Grandiloquance!); a profanity queen, role Model of Gen Z and neo generations: Alpha to Omega.
Episode 24: Citation 005 — Kejriwal (Anagram: I Jerk Law). And jerk the law he does with admirable equanimity, whether at Jantar Mantar, in Sheesh Mahal, or even behind prison bars!
Cockroaches’ Paa ji is, of course, the Original Broomsman. And here’s a delightful little linguistic somersault: PAA is simply AAP doing a perfect U-turn!
Episode 25: Citation 006 — Rahul Gandhi (Hauling Hard). The name and the anagram are enough! Political Lexicomedy can't be visualised without him!
Episode 26: Citation 007 — Akhilesh Yadav (Anagram: Al Sheikh Vadya). Cockroaches' Friend. Now aspiring to call the shots from atop the shoulders of Roaches.
Episode 27: Citation 008 — Mamata Didi (Anagram: I Did Maatam). Maatam continues but now hoping to get politically resurrected through continuous CPR being administered by the Roach Scholars.
One season. Twenty Seven Episodes. Eight Citations. Eighty exercises, perhaps, in anagrammatic audacity. And many more to come in Season 2...
The CJP continues to demonstrate that when political satire meets lexical acrobatics, even the humble cockroach can acquire a certificate of cultural significance. Whether these citations earn their recipients a moment of reflection or merely provoke a collective maatam is, of course, entirely at the readers' discretion.
The cold blooded Cockroaches have spoken. The humorous anagrams without Roaches' insane profanity have been served.
The broomsmen may now take the floor... Only they have a right to save the Democracy— by selection and not election!
More such citations of Roach-Humans in the Season 2 of Lexicomedy to be released in February/March 2027.
Till then Enjoy all 27 Episodes of generally non-political Lexicomedy— Season 1.
