Episode 7: A Bullock appropriating a Ferrari.

Episode 7: A Bullock appropriating a Ferrari.

Dear Mr. Pankaj Khanna,

Your epistle arrived not merely as correspondence, but as an avalanche of lexical pyrotechnics, leaving this humble Fussy Zaroor oscillating between admiration, amusement, and a pressing need for a larger dictionary.

Permit me to register a vehement protest against your relentless self-deprecation. The individual who can orchestrate such magnificently self-mocking prose has already trespassed well beyond the frontiers of the so-called Cattle Class

One does not accidentally stumble into 'sesquipedalian' splendour; one cultivates it with mischievous diligence and an alarming intimacy with the English lexicon.

As for your intended elevation from the Cattle Class to the Baronial Class, I fear you have underestimated the gravity of the constitutional implications.

Such matters cannot be resolved by a solitary act of nomenclatural alchemy. They demand the solemn ratification of the Ministry of Grandiloquence following a formal procedure yet to be finalised.

Nevertheless, I have already conveyed your petition to Saar, accompanied by a footnote recommending that your application be processed under the Extraordinary Merit in Verbal Acrobatics clause.

Preliminary intelligence suggests that the adjudicating authorities were so dazzled by your rhetorical exuberance that several monocles fell irretrievably into their teacups.

May I also submit that your analogy of the bullock cart competing in Formula One is charmingly obsolete. Having perused your latest composition, I can report that the bullock has quietly appropriated the Ferrari, overtaken the entire grid, and is now dispensing vocabulary lessons from the winner's podium.

Pray, therefore, cease presenting yourself as a bewildered rustic. The camouflage has become transparently ineffective.

Should you persist in producing such gloriously flamboyant prose, posterity may be compelled to inaugurate a fresh socio-linguistic stratum altogether: The Tharoorgeoisie.

The sole qualification for the membership shall be the ability to render ordinary readers simultaneously enlightened, intimidated, and desperately dependent upon a dictionary.

With lexicographical affection and ceremonious fussiness,

Fussy Zaroor

Foot notes and Foot  Prints of Pak Jan:

Pankaj and Fussy may spend several epistles discussing the Tharoorgeoisie. I, however, find the matter remarkably simple, thanks to its own anagram:

The Tharoorgeoisie: where the ego is a hero riot—an anagram, incidentally, that may explain the whole phenomenon. And no riot is complete without at least three sesquipedalian adjectives.
