Episode 2 : Lexicomedy set in motion.

Looking back, I can now identify the precise moment when Lexicomedy first stirred into existence. It was a seemingly innocuous social-media post that I published on 15 June 2026, written in deliberately Tharoorian English and inspired by the widely discussed US-Iran deal. What began as a playful exercise in linguistic exuberance has since evolved into something altogether more ambitious: a celebration of humour in which language itself becomes the principal comedian.

The following is the casual social-media post dated 15 June 2026, reproduced below in italics.

I have tried to copy Shashi Tharoor's style using his favourite words. I think this is how he would write about Iran-US Agreement:

At an undisclosed longitude of diplomatic metaphysics¹, two venerable custodians of strategic bewilderment, one believer of Kakistocracy² and another parturient³ to deliver, reportedly initialled a parchment whose principal achievement was lexical acrobatics.

Each returned home garlanded in self-congratulation, having simultaneously conceded nothing, secured everything, and left posterity to arbitrate whether the commas or the silences proved more consequential.

Hopefully Shashi Tharoor will read it, correct my mistakes and reply to me. His reply, if any, will be posted in the next Blog Post!

Much to my surprise, the response to that message was an uproarious chorus of cheers from friends and family. Their unanimous verdict? A resounding demand that I keep channeling my inner wordsmith in the same style for all future correspondence.

And thus, somewhat awkwardly, Lexicomedy emerged from the unlikely womb of Tawa Sangeet and its assorted eccentricities.



Bullied by my easily amused friends into playing the role of a “polysyllabic wordsmith,” I hereby inaugurate Lexicomedy.

I can only pray that this grand endeavour somehow justifies their wildly misplaced faith in a guy who still relies on dictionaries to spell rhetorical.

But Lexicomedy was apparently not destined to travel alone.

Move over, Lexicomedy—make slight way for the Lexitoon also.

A mashup of “lexical” and “cartoon,” the Lexitoon is what happens when the alphabet decides to get artsy. Check out this hand-drawn Lexitoon made from my name, Pankaj Khanna, in the previous as well as this blog post.

And so, here we are: Lexicomedy and Lexitoons—the Lexi-twins—accompanied, naturally, by Anagrams.

Buckle up and keep your hands inside the alphabet at all times. We’re embarking on an epic, inescapable journey into the wonderfully wordy world of Lexicomedy, Lexitoons and Anagrams.
